Good Friday Run - 19th April 2019
Last year's route was repeated for 2019.
The awful weather meant that the planned ride was never completed on Good Friday 2018.
What a difference this year.
The sun was shining by 10am when about 45 motorcycles set off from the car park of The Ruishton Inn.
Malcolm Green led us through Kingston St Mary and on to the Quantocks, dropping down into Wembdon and onwards to Chilton Trinity Village Hall for tea/coffee and hot cross buns (with jam!)
The return ride was equally impressive.
Through Enmore and alongside two reservoirs - Hawkridge and Durleigh.
Many smiling faces returned to The Ruishton Inn.
The Raffle raised £185 for the Club Charities, in addition,
£80 was donated to the Club Charities from the sale of tea, coffee & hot cross buns
Thank you very much to:-
Malcolm and Richard for organising the route and the refreshments.
Caroline for serving bacon butties prior to the run
The ladies at The Village hall for the refreshments
AND MOST OF ALL
To all those who came along and supported us.
Without you there would be no point in organising these occasions.
Commiserations to Rob who had a problem with the forks on his
very good looking Greeves and could not come with us.

Good Friday Run 2018
Seventeen bikes along with their riders and some pillions gathered at The Ruishton to join the Club's annual Good Friday rideout.
They set off in dry weather, however, by the time they arrived at the coffee stop at Chilton Trinity Village Hall the rain had taken it's toll! After tea and hot cross buns it was decided to go straight back to the Ruishton or home, whichever was closer,
The raffle in the afternoon raised over £100!
Only one casualty, a puncture after the first mile, luckily close to where he lived!
Thank you very much to Ted (Malcolm) Green and Ian Reed for organising and leading a great route.
Maybe we can have another go at the entire ride when the weather improves.

GOOD FRIDAY RUN 2017
Despite a gloomy weather forecast, 36 motorcycles (and their riders) gathered at the Ruishton ready for the off.
We had a great ride taking in Langport, Somerton & Lydford-On- Fosse.
A welcome coffee stop at The Podimore Service Area and then back to The Ruishton via
Martock, South Petherton & Ilminster.
The Good Friday Raffle raised £128 for our two charities.
Thank you to Gareth for organising the route and leading the ride, to the tailenders who did a sterling job and to Caroline at The Ruishton for making bacon butties for us to buy prior to the ride.
Thank you especially to all those who came along - without you there would be no ride!
Prior to setting off we posed for a photograph for the Somerset County gazette. This link takes you to the online feature.

- GOOD FRIDAY RUN 2016
- The sun shone for us so we could not ask for more. Over 40 bikes took part in a picturesque ride to Dunkerswell Airfield. Lots of planes coming and going with dozens of folks jumping out of two of them - the sky seemed to be continually peppered with colourful parachutes bringing people safely to the ground. Coffe and cake consumed we started the ride back to The Ruishton - a different way back - even prettier than the outward journey.
- £121.26 was raised from the raffle
- Thank you to Gareth and Eric for planning the route - we are sorry that Eric was not able to join us and we wish him a speedy recovery. Thanks also to The Ruishton for the refreshments and all those involved in making this a "Grand Day Out"
